The Daltonist
Formerly known as “The Black Dog” starts our Top 5 Bars In Split. This laid back pub style bar is in a superbly convenient location just outside the walls of the Palace. That’s right up the road from the open-air market known locally as the ‘pazar’. They are open all year round, making them popular with foreigners and longer-term tourists. Offering cool solace from the heat of the summer sun, they have an extensive craft beer selection, are known for their love of whisky and apparently have one of the best espresso martini’s in town!
The decor is industrial chic. They make the most of the original stone walls and compliment them with strong wrought iron and wooden features. The vibe here is very laid back, further cementing their status as a place for locals and tourists alike. Highly recommended as one of our Top 5 Bars In Split!
Marvlvs Library and Jazz Bar
Second on our Top 5 Bars In Split is Blink and you might miss this place! Believe us this is too good to miss. Tucked away down an alley way, through a very nondescript door, this hidden gem opens up unexpectedly to a very moody and quirky vibe. The heavy wooden beams overhead, the dark eerily romantic nooks and the stacks of books piled up around the place all add to the old worldly feel. Add to this regular live music and poetry during the high season, and you have a fabulous drinking establishment with eclectic attitude in SPADES. Definitely not your average bar. And definitely well worth a mention in our Top 5 Bars In Split for you to check out when you’re in town.
