SMART COVID-19 Travel Policy

Here at Golden Leaf Properties we know that it may be another tough year for the travel & tourism industry.  This is why we have developed a 3-point COVID-19 Travel Policy plan which will allow our guests to book our properties worry free.  At the forefront of this plan is guest safety as this is our first priority.  Second is addressing the possibility that flights may be canceled and mandatory quarantine may be a factor if the situation worsens once again.  Third is giving our guests piece of mind knowing that they received the best possible price and booking terms. As we only work directly with property owners and managers, we are able to negotiate the best rate and booking conditions for each and every one of our guest who book directly through us. 

Guest Safety

Our responsibility to our guests starts before they arrive to our property. This is why we are introducing a new section under our listings called “Enhanced cleaning & Guest Safety”.  We have added to following options for each property:

  • Is the property professionally cleaned?
  • Is the property cleaned with disinfectant?
  • Are the bedding and towels washed in water on 60°C/140°F?
  • Does the property provide hand sanitizer to guests?
  • Does the property provide gloves to guests?
  • Does the property provide masks to guests?
  • Is contact-less check-in available?

If the property provides and or all of these options, they will be shown under the Features section of the property listing like this:

We are also educating our staff and distributing cleaning guidelines to our property owners to teach them the property way to disinfect their property between guest.

We have prepared an article in order to inform all of our guests what safety guidelines we are taking and our continued commitment to their them:


Travel and booking accommodations during this pandemic is anything but simple.  The future is clouded and no one can predict what tomorrow will hold, let alone what going to happen in a few months from now.  We are hoping that vaccinations will start allowing most of use to begin traveling and moving around without having to worry or social distance.  But although we don’t know what the future will bring, we can still plan ahead with our COVID-19 Travel Policy. 


You will not see a change in the cancellation policy on the listing themselves, rather during the booking process, you will contact us and tell us what property you are interested in booking.  We will then immediately contact the owner and see what is the best cancellation policy that we can offer.  However, here are some guidelines:

FREE CANCELLATION OR TRAVEL VOUCHERS up to 14 days before arrival if any of the following situations occur:

  1. Travel is required to self-quarantine after returning from Croatia
  2. Boarders have been closed and movement is restricted in and out of the country (Either home country or Croatia)
  3. All flight possibilities have been cancelled and guests can no longer get to Croatia
  4. A family member or traveler has died or is hospitalized do to COVID19 one month prior to the check-in date. (proof required)


If you find the property that you would like to book cheaper anywhere else online, we will always match this price and give you a bottle of Croatian sparkling wine as a token of our ongoing efforts to provide the best service online.  Guests have to send a link to the website which offered the accommodation cheaper and we will follow up on this in order to insure it is not a mistake or a scam.
